The Ride Blind Forever Collection was created in order to support the family of its founder, Bobby McMullen. An Extreme Athlete, Mountain Bike Racer, Paralympian, Husband, Father, Friend: Competitive mountain bike downhill and cross-country cyclist, decorated downhill skier and triathlete, Bobby McMullen is also legally blind, a two-time double transplant recipient and a self-proclaimed “train wreck”.
A Note From Idahope's Owner
"At Idahope, we try and keep our activities and our support of local non-profits on the local level. While Bobby McMullen was not an Idahoan, he had been here a number of times, and certainly touched the people he came in contact with wherever he went.
He was a longtime friend and teammate of Idahope’s owner. Bobby McMullen fought through blindness caused by diabetes to become a world-class ski racer, then after organ failure turned to downhill mountain biking. He fought through multiple organ transplants, heart issues, and multiple rounds of cancer before passing away in September. Through it all, he was the most positive, upbeat, and selfless person you would ever meet, and a personal hero of ours. He represented what we should all strive to be as spouses, parents, and people, and he and his attitude will be sorely missed. In recognition of Bobby, we have created the Ride Blind Forever t-shirt.
**Proceeds for sales of the ride blind shirt will go to offset his extensive medical expenses and his daughter's college fund.
